Publication of Proceedings
The publisher Elsevier has agreed to publish Proceedings of ECIS 2013 Conference in a special issue of the journal Colloids and Surfaces A. The guest Editors will be Elena Mileva, Boryan Radoev and Reinhard Miller. The submission starts on August 20, 2013 and should be completed by October 31, 2013. The manuscripts will be handled by the standard routine of this journal, i.e. will have to pass a peer reviewing. All contributors (orals as well as poster contributions) are invited to submit manuscripts via http://ees.elsevier.com/colsua/.
The 27th Conference of the European Colloid and Interface Society will take place on September 1- 6, 2013 in Sofia, Bulgaria. It is organized by the Department of Interfaces and Colloids (Institute of Physical Chemistry, BAS) and the Department of Physical Chemistry (Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy, SU).
The organizers warmly invite chemists, physicists, biologists and engineers to take part in this interdisciplinary forum, where fundamental science and applied research will target the front-line topics in the fields of surface forces in dispersed systems, complex fluids, surfactants, polymers and biocolloids, engineered interfaces and smart nanostructured materials. The Conference is aimed to provide a wide opportunity for exchange of new ideas, for reports on recent achievements in colloid and interface science and on contributions to the progress in the areas of biomedicine, pharmaceutics, cosmetics, nanoelectronics, food and petroleum industries.
Parts of the Conference will be hosted by the Framework for European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) through two Workshops: COST CM1101 and COST MP1106. During the Conference, the awardees of the Rhodia Prize and the Overbeek Medal will give plenary lectures.
We are also happy to announce a pre-conference ECIS Training Course “Colloids and Medical Applications” to be held in the Conference Venue on August 31-September 01, 2013.
We look forward to seeing you in Sofia during the 27th ECIS Conference in 2013.
